The Convocation and Awards Ceremony is the highlight of Conference. The ceremony includes the presentation of the annual Scholarship Trust Fund awards, recognizing students and new graduates for their exceptional academic and leadership achievements. Following, each new graduate will be personally recognized for the outstanding accomplishment of achieving the CGA designation.
A complimentary champagne reception will follow for all guests where personal congratulations to our newest members are encouraged!

Frequently Asked Questions
Can we take pictures during the ceremony?
Yes, absolutely! We encourage you to capture those special moments throughout the event. The only time we ask for you not to snap a picture is when our photographer is taking the class picture following the ceremony.
Can we bring children to the ceremony?
Yes. Children are welcome to attend the Convocation and Awards Ceremony as they too are a part of the family structures that supported our new graduates in achieving their designations. However, if your child is being disruptive, we kindly ask that you remove the child from the Hall until he/she has calmed down.
Where can we park if we are attending both the Convocation and Awards Ceremony, and the President's Banquet and Ball?
You may park at either the Winnipeg Convention Centre, or Delta Winnipeg.
New Member Briefing (new graduates only)
New CGA members are the main attraction at the Convocation and Awards Ceremony, and therefore this is a must attend event. The New Member Briefing is to prepare everyone for their moment on stage. Details will be emailed to new graduates in the weeks leading up to the ceremony.

Assembly Honour Party Reception (by invitation only)
An annual gathering that brings together our Convocation and Awards presenters, the recipients of the awards, and special VIP delegates prior to the formal event.
