Internationally Trained Accountant Programs:
CGA is committed to supporting the Canadian education and training of Internationally Trained Accountants. Through our programs outlined below, individuals who have immigrated to Manitoba can take advantage of the CGA Program of Professional Studies to bridge their education and to obtain relevant skills that Canadian employers are looking for.
CGA offers the following programs for Internationally Trained Accountants who are permanent residents of Manitoba:
CGA Program of Professional Studies
Program Start dates & deadlines: New students may enroll in the CGA Program in any of the four academic sessions (details are provided in the CGA Program Guide).
CGA’s mainstream professional program will offer you a distinctive edge, opening doors to unlimited career opportunities. Enrolling in the CGA Program will provide you with the tools to succeed, no matter where in the business world you take your career. As a CGA student, you will demonstrate to employers that you have specialized knowledge and skills, as well as the dedication, vision, and ethical integrity to be an outstanding leader. Individuals who are Internationally Trained Accountants should apply for Advanced Standing to determine their standing in the CGA Program. Full-Time Internationally Trained Accountants Program
The ITAP program is no longer available. Information on the University of Manitoba’s new Bridge to Professional Accounting (BPA) Program can be found on the Univeristy of Manitoba's website.

English for Internationally Trained Accountants
Course Start Date: April 12, 2010
Course Schedule: Monday and Friday Evenings 6:00pm to 9:00pm
Offered at the University of Winnipeg, this course is for internationally educated accountants living in Manitoba who have CLB levels of 6 or higher.

English for Business Professsionals
Course Start Date: April 13, 2010
Course Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday Evenings 6:00pm to 9:00pm
Offered at the University of Winnipeg, this course is for internationally educated business professionals or entrepreneurs with a background in the management (at any level) of a commercial or industrial business, living in Manitoba who have CLB levels of 7 or higher. There is no fee for this course. It is funded through the government of Manitoba.
